Abstract

The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been a sensitive topic for many years, and depending on whether it is covered through the perspective of war journalism or peace journalism, it is frequently portrayed in the media in different ways. This conflict has its roots in historical and cultural difficulties, competing for political and economic objectives, and international power struggles. The study aims to focus on the representation of Russia-Ukraine conflict in the print media of US (New York Times) and China (China Daily). Keeping the framing analysis as basis, the study found that The New York Times published more news (80.88%) focusing wartime setting, highlighting the newspaper's attention on the military aspects of the struggle. On the other hand China Daily paid more attention to Peace oriented themes (73.33%).
