Abstract

This article explores the Constitution of Pakistan as a dynamic, evolving framework that adapts to the nation's changing political, social, and legal landscape. The study examines three critical themes—identity, federalism, and judicial empowerment—highlighting the Constitution’s role in navigating the complexities of Pakistan's diverse society and political system. Through an analysis of constitutional amendments, judicial interventions, and political developments, the research argues that the Constitution functions as a "living charter," continuously responding to the nation’s evolving needs. The study reveals how the Constitution’s provisions on national identity balance Islamic values with pluralism, how federalism adapts to the diverse demands of provincial autonomy, and how judicial empowerment has shaped the political landscape.
